The MSG Traverse and Elevation Mechanism (T&E) controls left and right and up and down movement of the machine gun, facilitating precision fire on target. Used in conjunction with the UPA and the weapon mount. MSG T&E is modified with a wedge-shaped locking block that allows it to remain attached in the unlocked position. This enables the gunner to slip to the left and right and quickly make corrections. The MSG T&E is the standard issue for the US Marine Corps.
